About the Webinar

The “10 Years of Impact” webinar convened global experts, country leaders, and HPV Board advisers to reflect on how the Board’s country and technical meetings have contributed to measurable progress in HPV prevention and control across diverse settings.

The session combined:

  • Country case studies illustrating policy and programme evolution following HPV Board engagement

  • Thematic technical overviews on screening and vaccination developments

  • Forward-looking discussions on the role of independent scientific platforms in sustaining momentum toward HPV-related cancers elimination.

Objectives
  • Review HPV Prevention and Control Board’s mission and contribution.
    Provide an overview of the Board’s mandate to disseminate evidence-based information, to offer strategic and technical guidance, and to monitor national and regional HPV control programmes. Highlight milestones and how the Board’s multidisciplinary structure has rapidly responded to emerging issues
  • Assess the impact of country meetings on national HPV programmes’ advancements.
    Explore the progress in HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment uptake, as well as health-system strengthening and stakeholder engagement in Denmark, Colombia, and India, using country-specific meeting objectives and subsequent developments.
  • Provide an overview of a decade of technical advancement in screening and vaccination.
    Summarise innovations in HPV-related cancer screening and HPV vaccination, including the most relevant topics covered during the HPV Board’s technical meetings, and discuss how these advancements have influenced public-health policies.
